I'll admit it ... I'm not on Facebook.
I have nothing against Facebook but from what little I've seen of the social networking site so far ... it just feels like high school all over again. I would rather walk barefoot across broken glass then go back to high school (yes, my teen years were that painful/pitiful)!
Plus, I hear that if you have less than 700 friends on Facebook then you are officially a NOBODY or you're just plain OLD (sorry to break the news - if ya hadn't heard already)! Well I've kinda always been a nobody and I am getting old so these titles wouldn't be anything new to me :-) but seriously I would have like 50 family members and 2 friends if I signed up. I'm not trying to solicit your pity - just stating the truth. I prefer a couple intimate friends over the masses ... always been a quality over quantity girl ...
... however, there are times when I wish my blog entry was as simple as a Facebook entry. Then I could post something quick and easy like this:
What is Zandra Anderson doing tonight?
She is listening as her 2-year-old reads princess stories to her ...

... sooooo much better than time spent keeping up with 700+ cyber friends (or 50 cyber friends/family in my case, wink)...
Oh, and we are also sad tonight because we had to say goodbye to our Dutch girl again ( no easier the second time around) and put her on a plane back to Holland last night :-(
We'll miss you Jolien ... come back soon!

well...Im also old and a nobody under those circumstances...and so are all my friends :D so we are all in the same boat! But to be a bit serious, it is fun to find old friends again, so l think you should give it a try! But it is also true that it capture your time...if you want it to. Hugh Hilde
